When I had finally had enough, and got serious about going into business, the first thing I did was go downtown to the SUNY Small Business Development office.  You don’t have to be a student, all I did was call and make an appointment.  This is a great resource if you’re trying to start something new or improve the business you have.  I was able to discuss my ideas here, and get resources to help me get started.  They hook you up with tutorials and have great resources for helping you put together a business plan.  Everything you do, you can run by a professional and they will help you adjust and correct your plan and budget.  Best of all, this is a free resource in the state of New York – which, quite honestly, they owe us if they’re going to make everything so scary and difficult.  If you are thinking about starting your own business or already have one, this is definitely something to look into.  Find out more here:  www.nyssbdc.org
